About us

Our concept is designed for large and intensive dairy farms in countries that are in transition, from extensive to intensive livestock production farms. Characteristic of these HapCo.farms are the large scale and the many labor forces. The profitability of HapCo.farm can significantly increase thanks to the increasing number of (perfectly healthy) high productive cows, and the short B2C chain.

In fact, the concept is applicable to countries where dairy farms already work on an intensive scale. HapCo.farm needs 25 hectares for the construction of farm buildings and has to convince the traditional farmers to become a cooperative. Also labor costs must be within a realistic financial framework.

The HapCo.farm concept is not only reaching for internal goals, but external goals as well. The concept can be used for the production of affordable and safe food in transition countries. This will encourage the social peace in such countries. The population can also provide its own need for animal protein, without being guilty of poaching or other illegal activities. In addition, this industrial farm concept provides employment and appropriate wages. As a result there will be more consumption by the locals, who would otherwise probably live below the poverty line. Finally, there can be a positive influence on the economy in the country or region in question. On a global level, we aim for a reduction of economic migration from Africa or Asia by increasing employment. Not only that, through circular migration HapCo.farm wants to attract locals with a higher education as well. This means that we will hire local people with a higher education, so they’ll work in Belgium for a year, after which they’ll return to their own countries to transfer their new knowledge onto the other locals. HapCo.farm hopes to be a starting signal for the industrialization in these transitioning countries.

The economic studies about the HapCo.farm concept learns that the optimal economic profitability is based on 2400 dairy cows in production.
